Each Senior First Runner-Up will receive:

**As Miss Great Lakes, the First Runner-Up serves as an ambassador for the organization and may be called upon to represent the pageant at official events and appearances. Should the State Queen be unable to fulfill her duties, the First Runner-Up may also be asked to assume official responsibilities in accordance with pageant policies.

People's Choice Voting

$2.00 per vote

Support your favorite contestant by casting your vote for the People's Choice Award! (One senior level winner and One elementary level winner)​

  • Voting Opens: September 20

  • Voting Closes: November 13​

Every vote helps determine who will be crowned Miss Blue Water. The contestant with the highest number of votes at the close of voting will receive the official Miss Blue Water title (**Senior winner the opportunity to compete at the National Pageant with a discounted national entry fee.) Along with other prizes throughout the year.

Photogenic Award

$25.00 – One (1) Color or Black & White Photograph

$40.00 – Two (2) Color and/or Black & White Photographs

Showcase your confidence, personality, and natural beauty by entering the Photogenic Competition!

Contestants may submit professionally taken or high-quality candid photographs for judging.​

The Photogenic Winner will receive:

  • Official Photogenic Award Trophy

  • Recognition during the State Pageant Finals

Scholar Award

$20.00

The Scholar Award recognizes contestants who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, dedication to learning, and a commitment to excellence both in and out of the classroom.

Eligibility

Contestants must submit a copy of their most recent report card, transcript, or other acceptable proof of academic achievement by the published deadline.

Judging will be based on academic performance, achievement, and commitment to educational excellence.

Best Gown

$10.00

The contestant who demonstrates exceptional elegance, poise, confidence, and overall presentation in the Evening Gown Competition will receive:

  • Best Evening Gown Title

  • Custom Trophy or Award

  • Official Recognition during the Awards Ceremony

  • Featured Recognition on the Miss Michigan America website and social media platforms

Best Interview

$10.00

 The contestant who demonstrates outstanding communication skills, confidence, authenticity, and professionalism during the private interview with the judges will receive:

  •  Official Best Interview Award

  • Certificate of Achievement

Best Fun Fashion

$10.00

The contestant who best showcases confidence, personality, creativity, and stage presence during the Fun Fashion competition will receive:

  •  Official Best Fun Fashion Award
